Phenomena Shaping the Future: Residential Segregation in the US
Richard Rothstein is a distinguished Fellow of the Economic Policy Institute and was a Senior Fellow of the Thurgood Marshall Institute at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. Richard’s book, The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America examines an America where explicit public policy imposed racial segregation and perpetuated second class citizenship for African-Americans – which is a relic of slavery that has never been remedied and whose effects continue to endure.
